L’objectif principal du Costa Rica Trail, La Transtica est de faire découvrir le pays et son mode de vie à travers une compétition sportive à caractère solidaire. 
Une traversée du Costa Rica en 5 étapes, 200 km de la plage de Manuel Antonio Côte Pacifique, à Manzanillo Côte Caraïbes, une véritable aventure humaine et sportive.
Entre deux océans, la course se définit par une traversée unique d’un paradis naturel sur une terre de feu à la découverte de la  culture et des populations locales.
Les concurrents, découvriront une faune et une flore exceptionnelle et seront associés des donations de matériel médical et scolaire, moments d’émotions, d’échanges et de partage.
Au fil des bivouacs, organisés par les communautés locales, ils sauront apprécier l’accueil des Costa Ricien.
Le dépaysement est total, les coureurs sont plongés dans le Costa Rica profond loin des standards touristiques
Le dépassement de soi, l’aide et la solidarité seront l’âme de ce défi, dans un cadre naturel particulièrement exceptionnel, le COSTA RICA.

The main goal of the race is to discover the Costa Rica and its way of life and to share this experience with the locals through a sporting competition with humanitarian goals.

Between two oceans, the race defines itself by a unique crossing of a natural amazing paradise in the discovery of a new culture and way of life, "Pura Vida".

Starting from Pacific Coast to reach Caribbean Coast through amazing and varied landscapes combining beaches, valleys, river crossing, rainforests, coffee trees, sugar cane plantations and palm groves.
On the way the competitors, will discover an exceptional flora and fauna and will be associated to donations of medical and school equipment, moments of emotion, exchanges and sharing.
During the bivouacs, managed by the local communities, they will enjoy the welcome from Costa Rican people
